Work permits

Anyone wishing to employ a player, groom, trainer or coach who does not have the legal right to work in the UK without permission must obtain a Sponsor Licence under the Points Based System from the UK Border Agency.

The points-based system covers migrants from outside the European Economic Area (EEA) and Switzerland.

The perspective employee must be assigned a Certificate of Sponsorship and obtain an Entry Clearance Visa if applicable.

Further details regarding the system can be found at http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/employers/points/.

The Requirements for Sponsors and Migrants is available by clicking the link below. Download the HPA Sponsor License and Migrant Endorsement Requirements (Microsoft Word 2003 format).
