Amended Drug Testing Regulations

DRUG TESTING MRI, who do the HPA drug testing of players, are now working with a different laboratory and have produced a different testing kit (MHS Drugalyser) which gives an indication of a 'positive' test after 10 minutes. Consequently, players can be informed and only those samples need to be sent away for further testing.

ALCOHOL MRI also have an Alco-Sensor IV testing kit (like the police) that can test immediately for alcohol.

The Stewards have agreed that 'Annex A - Regulation on Human Doping' should be amended to reflect these changes. Please click here to see the complete Annex.
