Hosts Australia beat England by a narrow victory on Sunday 29 March, 8-7 in the 18-goal International Test Match against England for the Mountbatten Memorial Trophy.

Contested at Windsor Polo Club in New South Wales, England were defending the title having won the last encounter at this level back in 2004.
