Whitbread Trophy. Rutland Polo Club. Two teams of 17-18 year olds were selected to play. Teams as follows: Young England Select Red A Watts, T Abel-Smith, W Brasher, N Winterton. Young England Select Blue J Hudson, C Walton, T Pearce-May, C Huston.

Result: Winners Young England Select Blue 11 - 6

Alan Budget Trophy. Kirtlington Park Polo Club. A team of 16-18 year olds were selected to play a visiting team of zimbabwe school boys. The teams were as follows: HPA Young England Select R Seymour-Williams, M Stacy, I Parsons, A Gebbie. Zimbabwe School Boys B Stodart, T Wood, G Meikle, S Linfield.

Result: Winners HPA Young England Select; 6 - 2.5

 21 Cup. Cowdray Park Polo Club. Four teams of 14/15 year olds were selected to play in this Young England Select tournament. Teams as follows: Red F Al-Rifai, J Hyde, S Hancock, M Stacy. Blue I McGregor, T Pearce-May, R Richardson, C Holley. White H Davies, G Pearson, T Brodie, H Lewis. Black K Sheikh, E Banner-Eve, C Walton, T Beresford.

Results. Final; Black 7 - Red 1.5. Sub final Blue 4 - White 2.5.

Some of our best young players took part in the John Cowdray Trophy at Cowdray Park Polo Club. The teams selected by the HPA's Development Committee were as follows: Young England. J Kent 2, C Hanbury 4, W Emerson 5, O Cudmore 3.England FIP Europe. Jack Richardson 3, Max Charlton 4, Jonny Good 5 and Nick Britten-Long 2.

Result: Winners England FIP Europe 7 - 6.

An opportunity to see a team of our under 21's in action at the Beaufort Polo Club. The Young England team of Ben Malasoma, Billy Aprahamian, Dominic Heywood and Mark Baldwin will take on the England Ladies team of Hazel Jackson, Tamara Vestey, Emma Tomlinson and Lucy Taylor at 1700.

Result: Cogratulations to England Ladies who beat Young England 7 - 4.5
