A snippet of the 2016 match from Polo Times…In a change of format from last year’s Royal Salute Coronation Cup Day, this year a second game was played after The Royal Salute Coronation Cup. This featured Piaget Young England in action against Ireland. Piaget Young England won this contest, but only after some drama on the field. Max Hutchinson, son of the Chairman of the HPA, had to retire injured. His place was taken by the experienced Irish international player Sebastian Dawnay. He also took a tumble, but managed to remount and continue. However, the addition of Dawnay could not stop England, led by Ollie Cudmore, winning the Diamond Jubilee Trophy 4-3.
